Receptionist administrator - 23.5 hours per week
We are seeking a friendly, well-organised individual with strong interpersonal skills and a flair for administration to work in our reception and administration team.
Saxon Spires cares for 16,400 patients across two sites. We aim to provide high quality, compassionate and accessible patient care in our community.
This is a part time role, to be structured as follows:
Wednesday – 1:00-6:30 pm- working on our front desk in the waiting room, greeting patients and checking them in for appointments, answering the telephone, booking and cancelling appointments, assisting patients with queries, and supporting the clinical and management teams
Thursday – 08:00 am- 1:00 pm- working on our front desk in the waiting room, greeting patients and checking them in for appointments, answering the telephone, booking and cancelling appointments, assisting patients with queries, and supporting the clinical and management teams
One full day working 08:00 am -4:30 pm – supporting our scanning and coding team with scanning hard copy clinical correspondence into patient medical records, downloading electronic clinical correspondence into patient medical records, coding appropriately and forwarding to clinicians according to the practice’s protocol
One half day working 08:00-13:00 – summarising medical records according to practice protocols
We appreciate people have other commitments in their lives and we can be flexible about working hours for the non-patient facing elements of the role (coding and summarising), although the front desk shifts are fixed.
Experience would be preferred, but full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who thrives working in a busy environment dealing with members of the public, and who enjoys being part of a small team. The successful candidate will report into the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be expected to work at both practice sites as directed, but principally at our Guilsborough site:
West Haddon Road
The practice uses the EMIS Web clinical system. You will be expected to be flexible to provide holiday cover for colleagues. The practice opens late evenings and weekends for extended access; extended access shifts are allocated on a rota and paid at time and a half.

Starting salary £8.36 going to up £8.77 on the successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
