Healthcare Assistant HCA
Denton Village Surgery are looking to recruit an EXPERIENCED Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly nursing team. A small, friendly practice situated in beautiful rural South Northants, between Northampton and Bedford but also within easy travelling distance of Milton Keynes and Wellingborough.
The successful candidate will be an experienced NHS Healthcare Assistant who has already completed or is willing to work towards completion of the NHS Care Certificate. Due to the current skills mix of our staff, you will be EXPERIENCED in Blood Taking and conducting ECGs already. Experience of processing urine specimens, conducting patient health checks and dressings would be advantageous.
We are looking for an excellent team player who may wish to extend their skills.
The practice has an excellent, friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team including clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, a paramedic, pharmacy technicians, a first contact physiotherapist, advanced nurse prescribers, practice nurses, a student nurse and a phlebotomist.
We all work well together to deliver a high level of patient care. We have a monthly local Protected Learning Time event for staff training.
Hours: Part-time - Approx 12-18 hours per week, over 2-3 days.
EXAMPLE hours (TBC):
Wednesday 08:00-14:00
Thursday 08:00-14:00
Friday 10:00-16:00.
Hours can be flexible, e.g. school hours considered.
5 weeks Annual Leave per year plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata if part-time hours)
Generous NHS Pension Scheme.
Pay - Dependant on experience.
