Phlebotomist
Due to a growing list size, we are looking for a part-time Phlebotomist to join our Practice team. We are a progressive thinking training practice with a great team ethos and a committed and supportive Primary Health Care Team.
Working under the direct supervision of the senior practice nurse and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients as the result of a direct referral from a GP or nurse practitioner.
Hours of work: 16.5 hours per week
Mon: 8.00-12.30 and 13.00-15.00
Tues- Fri: 12.30-15.00
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible candidate with excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the general public and ideally in a healthcare setting.
We are a 7 doctor training practice affiliated to both the Banbury and Northampton schemes. We have a well-established and experienced Nursing Team comprising of 3 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Health Care Assistants and a Phlebotomist as well as a large Administrative Team.
We are part of the Brackley and Towcester Primary Care Network. Through the PCN, we have introduced Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physios, Mental Health Worker and Social Prescribers to the Practice.
